Brighton Marina: The perfect summer spot for children of all ages

On the hunt for fun-filled days out to keep the whole family entertained this summer? Look no further. Brighton Marina is bursting with activities for toddlers, youngsters and teens; it’s the perfect place for a day out!

Families with Toddlers

Looking to spend some quality time with your little ones? Why not start the day off by taking your mini-me to Cineworld to see the new minions movie, Minions: The Rise of Gru. The movie is jam-packed with action and comedy, and is guaranteed to keep your little minion entertained! Plus Cineworld has some fantastic deals on at the moment, check them out here.

Next, it is definitely worth checking out Funplay Leisure. They have a fantastic variety of different activities for tots. Explore their kiddie rides, slides, trampolines, bouncy castles and more!

When it comes to sit-down meals, we have plenty for you to choose from. Many of our restaurants offer high chairs, making meal time manageable! You can view all of the delicious places to eat here.

Alternatively, if you’re wanting something a little more simple, why not grab a treat from McDonalds? We hear that Paddington Bear has taken over the Happy Meal box! Families with Youngsters

For a family day out with your youngsters, we have plenty of activities to keep you all busy. Start off strong with a game of bowling at Hollywood Bowl (and if you play before 11am you and your family will get 25% off! See more information here. There are 26 state-of-the-art bowling lanes, four VIP Lanes, fantastic food and drink options in the Hollywood Diner and an awesome amusements area.

After that, head over to Funplay Leisure as they have so many activities for young children. Start off in the arcade and take turns to try and win a plush toy, challenge the whole family to a golf competition on the pirate-themed mini-golf course, or seas the day and check out the Bumper Boats and Water Balls.

For food, we recommend heading over to Fridays. As well as having the coolest decorations, they also have a fantastic little league menu; a range of smaller dishes that all come with tasty sticks of apple, cucumber and carrot. Families with Teens

We all know how hard it is to get your teens out of the house for a family trip, but with our suggestions it won’t be hard to convince them to join you on a fantastic day out.

Begin the day at Globalls, Brighton’s very own 12-hole indoor golf courses. Will you pick the aquatic, carnival or Tropicana theme? Try your best to get a hole in one amongst wonderful life-size neon sculptures and vivid wall art.

After that, pop into McDonalds and grab one of their new Frappes. Choose from Strawberries and Cream or Belgium Chocolate, then head over to our summer Big Screen for a relaxing pit stop. Find the big screen schedule here.

After some relaxing quality time together, why not treat your teens to a thrilling high-speed powerboat ride at Lagoon Watersports? They will be praising you a-boat this for months. Trust us! End the day with a sit-down family meal. We have plenty of easy options like Five Guys or Nando’s, both perfect for worn-out teens!
