NEW INDEPENDENT RESTAURANT ‘TASTE’ SET TO OPEN IN BRIGHTON MARINA
Well known local chef Phil Bartley and business partner Steve Pineau from the L’Atelier Du Vin group are set to open a new pop up restaurant in the old Frankie & Benny’s site in Brighton Marina.
This will bring a much-needed boost to the site after the closure of several of the big chain restaurants over the last year and marks the start of a plan to bring local, independent food operators into the marina.
Taste Sussex will be the first opening for the new restaurant concept and will be a casual, all day, restaurant for the whole family.
Phil, who also runs The Great British Charcuterie Co, says ‘ We loved the idea of opening in a previously branded restaurant and putting our spin on the food and drinks menus. We’ll be working with local farms, producers and vineyards to create the menus whilst making sure the food and drink is good value for money and accessible for the whole family’
The menu will have a playful nod towards the big chain restaurants but will be focused on seasonal British ingredients.
Set to open mid June.
