Brighton Marina provides a host of activities to enjoy the water – from owning your own yacht to chartering a day trip, and everything in between!
The sport of sailing is easily accessible from Neilson’s base in the Marina – only a ten-minute motor from the pontoon to the sailing area. Neilson offers a variety of options ranging from corporate events and private charter to race days and sailing courses.
Neilson’s centre is recognised by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), which ensures high standards for safety, equipment, instruction and staff ratios.
The Neilson Theory School was established in the summer of 2004 to provide high quality theory training under the RYA Cruising Scheme. The school is open to all small boat users who would like to experience the best in training. Neilson has an unrivalled reputation for training their holiday customers to participate in their chosen sport in safety, while building their skills and confidence.
Brighton Marina Yacht Club is an all year round members' club renowned for its friendly informal atmosphere. As well as bar and restaurant facilities and an active educational and sailing programme, the Club has a very lively social calendar – both on the wet and dry side!
There are many private operators in the Marina providing a wide range of leisure activities on the water from chartering a private yacht, cruising on a speed boat, taking a trip around the coastline or enjoying a fishing expedition.
